Steak

One of the great things about going to Bozeman, Montana is the prevalence of high quality beef and potatoes.  During our stay at the KOA in Bozeman we jumped on the freeway at about dinnertime each evening (yes, we went more than once) and took a fifteen mile trip to Sir Scott's Steakhouse in Manhattan, Montana.

The company (the Olivers and the Grandma and Grandad) and the food were terrific.  One night I (Ryan) ordered a 24 ounce T-bone steak.  I know it is extremely unrefined, but to give you an idea of the amount of food (and       for my sis-in-law, Dana) I took a picture of the steak next to my size 13 shoe.  Yum!

We spent the last stage of our journey through Montana at a KOA in Bozeman with Grandma and Grandad.  The Olivers joined us and we all had lots of fun just hanging out. 

We spent time together at the pool, we all went and saw the new Spiderman movie, we vegged around the campfire and ate lots of food.  A good time was had by all.

Cousins in Montana

We drove a 1900 mile loop through Big Sky Country (Montana) this summer and enjoyed a great visit with family and friends at lakes, campgrounds and Grandma and Grandpa's place.  It was fun to see cousins from Denver, CO, Eureka, MT and Anchorage, AK.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Millers in CDA

On our travels through Idaho we enjoyed visiting with David and Laurie Miller and their kids in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho.  David's father has a beautiful place in CDA.  We enjoyed hanging out with our friends around the campfire, riding the four-wheeler and watching Levi do some beekeeping.

 

 

 

Buddies and Baseball

Our summer break in Idaho is always full of lots of "to dos" and lots of fun.  The weather in Idaho has been hot and dry and we have enjoyed every minute of it.  It was fun for us to get together with our friends, Jerry and Pauline McConnell.  We worked with them for three years at Baker City Nazarene Church (a long time ago).  We also enjoyed a Boise Hawks baseball game with my sister and brother-in-law, Amy and Dan.  Great times and great memories!

 

 

 

Sarah -- Driver's Ed

This was the summer that Sarah took Driver's Ed.  She is 16 and was the oldest person in the class.  How embarassing!  Living in Korea doesn't always coincide with the "schedule" in the USA. 

Sarah worked hard and passed driver's ed with flying colors.  But don't worry, she won't be on the roads for a couple more years.  We are proud of Sarah.

Hawaii 2012

After Becca's graduation it was a crazy busy run toward the end of the school year.  Our first stop on the way out of Korea was in Hawaii.  We spent a week on the beach at Waikiki.  It was a blast.

We spent a lot of time enjoying the warm sun, the blue water and the white sandy beaches.  Our friends, the Millers, were vacationing on another Hawaiian island and they came over and spent a few days with us on Oahu.  We had a great time with them.  Becca, Sarah and the Miller kids all took a surfing lesson and hit the waves.  They did great.

While we were in Hawaii it was our pleasure to spend some time with our friends, the Suhs family and the Pinho family.  We enjoyed an afternoon visit and picnic with them all in a beautiful park just off the beach.

Hawaii was a great way to end a full year of school and work at TCIS.  Aloha!
