Last Saturday night Sarah attended the annual TCIS Drama Awards night celebration. The event was attended by primarily high school drama students but since Sarah had an ensemble and solo part in the high school musical, “Godspell,” she was invited to attend. Sarah borrowed a pretty black dress from a friend for the evening
and it is a good thing that she did because she was honored at the event with the award of “Outstanding Vocal Ensemble Member.” We are proud of Sarah.
On Saturday, many of us from TCIS boarded a bus and traveled two hours west to attend the wedding of the middle school secretary. The bus ride to the wedding location was enjoyable. The roads were lined with the green trees and bushes of springtime and the stalks of rice were beginning to poke through the flat sheen of water that covered the fields.
The wedding hall was elaborate, complete with fluorescent lights, chandeliers, a smoke machine, a bubble machine and a very loud sound system. Becca played piano in a middle school ensemble that provided music for the wedding.
On the way home from the wedding we stopped at a “hue-gay-soh” (rest-stop) for an ice cream treat. On the backside of the rest stop facility was a beautiful view of the hills and valleys of the area. Here is a picture of Dina with our friend, LeeAnne. We arrived back in Daejeon from the wedding at about 5:00 p.m. and then that evening Ryan chaperoned at the high school prom.
