Our half day tour of Phuket included a stop at a cashew nut factory. It was very interesting and tasty. We learned that cashew nuts grow on trees and are just the small tip of a large bulb that grows on the tree. The cashew nuts are harvested by hand and then they are shelled by hand. That is why they
are so expensive. The Thailand produce is so interesting. Some of the items we have encoutered are: cashews, mango, papaya, jack fruit, bananas and even rubber trees.
RR thanks for the updates on your vacation excursions. It's no surprise you took your family to a nut factory...:)I am glad you are enjoying your break, I even notice a smile on your face, its good to get away.

YUMMY!! Cashew brittle, party mix w/cashews only, cashew fudge (Barney Fife's fav), cashew chicken, cashew shrimp. YUMMY!! You see, the Christmas season has been tough on the WW experience! Gotta lose some lb's or I might get the ax on my once-a-month-for-an-hour-and-a-half-job! Enjoy while I eat dry lettuce. :0( Mom
