This past week was the presentation of the TCIS high school musical "Godspell". The program nights were last Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The director of the musical was our good friend, Heidi Zickefoose. She did a wonderful job with the entire program.
Becca and Sarah were both involved in the program. They were two of only four middle school students in the program. The rest of the cast and crew (nearly 100 people) were high school students. Becca played bass guitar in the band (they didn't have an orchestra like most musicals, this year they used a rock band) and Sarah was in the cast as a member of the vocal ensemble and she had two solos in the program. Sarah was on the stage in front of everyone and Becca was behind the scenes playing in the band (but you could hear her).
It was a real privilege for Becca and Sarah to be involved in the high school musical. They have been practicing three (or four) nights a week
until 6:00 p.m. for the past month or so. The week of the musical was a busy one with every night being a late night and full with either a practice or a production.
Becca and Sarah were both exhausted at points in the process but in retrospect it was a great lifetime experience. They have many wonderful memories and loved the entire experience. Dina and I (Ryan) were and are proud parents. Our girls jumped into a wonderful opportunity and did a
great job. We went to both the Friday night and Saturday night productions (Dina even went to the dorm presentation on Thursday night) and we got the opportunity of hanging around and helping out with the late night cast party on Friday night.
"Godspell" was great! Stay tuned for videos.
